OIL AND GAS FESTIVAL 2022 (OGFest'22)

The Oil and Gas Festival 2022(OGFest'22) at Universiti Tknologi Malaysia (UTM) is an event that is focused on the oil and gas industry. It features exhibitions, talks, workshops, and networking opportunities for students, academics, and industry professionals to learn about the latest trends and developments in the oil and gas sector.

During the OGFest'22 program, SPE UMS SC has sent 9 of its members accompanied by Dr Mohd Syazwan bin Mohd Musa to the event which is held for 4 days from 18 March until 21 March. The contingent were led by the President of SPE UMS SC Session 2022/23 - Royce Jim Santos. The other 8 members is Nur Aqiesh Binti Mohamed Iqbal, Vera Natalie Marinus, Nik Nurfatin Natasha Binti Ahmad Daus, Nurhanis Suraya, Izza Syifaa Binti Abdul Rauf, Joachim Jamuh, Muhammad Ashraf Bin Mat Roni and Nathanel Maga Edward. SPE UMS SC sent 3 teams for two different competitions - PetroBrain and t-Navigator Competition. Two teams were sent to compete in the PetroBrain Competition and one team was sent to participate in the t-Navigator Competition.

In a nutshell, the program was a good exposure and a good experience for the SPE UMS SC members to be implemented in their studies, curriculum and their future career. We didn't win any award but the most important thing is the valuable experience that comes with it.
